PROSECUTING WITH PURPOSE
Farm-Raised. Fair-Minded. Family-Focused.
As a prosecutor and parent, my top priority is protecting Benton County and providing a safe community for my children and yours. As a prosecutor for 13 of my 15 years as an attorney, I bring extensive experience handling serious felony cases while balancing public safety with appropriate rehabilitation. I believe in holding people accountable while using proven strategies and common-sense solutions that strengthen our community and prevent future crime.
Supporting Proven Alternatives to Jail:
Veterans Court:
Expanding access to treatment-based accountability for veterans who have served our country.
Community Corrections:
Working with community partners to expand options such as work release, home detention and rehabilitative programming that reduce repeat offenses while allowing individuals to support their families.
Preventing Crime Before It Happens:
Stopping Repeat Drunk Driving:
Utilizing ignition interlock for repeat drunk drivers to keep roads safe.
Strong Law Enforcement Partnerships: Ensuring law enforcement has access to effective investigative tools.
Family Background
I live with my husband and three children in Fowler. Pitstick is my maiden name. My family’s roots run deep in Benton County. My grandfather, Lawrence Pitstick, grew up on a farm in the Dunnington area before moving to a farm in the Remington/Goodland area where my father, Richard Pitstick, and his siblings were raised. On my mother’s side, my great-grandfather, Edward J. Funk, was born near Earl Park almost 150 years ago. He and his wife, Jennie Wetli, helped start a seed corn company roughly 85 years ago. My grandmother, Florence Funk, married Philip Weller and together raised my mother, Mary (Weller) Pitstick, and her siblings on a farm near Remington. My two older brothers and I were raised on a small family farm near Rensselaer.
